Jackie and Aundréa | An Autumn Wedding

December 9, 2019

Nova Scotia just never disappoints

I don’t really know how we manage it, but we seem to meet the coolest and most interesting of humans. And then we get to photograph them as our job. I mean, what?! The more we have gotten to know Jackie and Aundréa, the more we have come to realize how incredibly thoughtful, creative, and just what darn stellar humans they both are. During the entire process from when they hired us a year ago up to their wedding day, they have been flexible, kind, thorough, and so receptive to our advices. ALSO they made us the cutest table at their reception with cards with our branding, our names, flars, and the whole sha-bang. Kevin and I were pretty floored.

Oh! And tacos and burrito bowls were on the menu for dins. Can you say our kind of people?? There’s a song out there (for kids…?) called “Raining Tacos” and I legit sing it all the time. By all means, treat yo’self to this masterpiece: Listen to Raining Tacos! (DO IT).

Okay now that you returned and you’ve definitely listened to “Raining Tacos”, we can get back to business. Jackie and Aundréa had tonnes of cool aspects to their wedding. So many little magical details, like how Aundréa designed their beautiful rings, they made their own bouquets, had a freakin’ dagger to cut their cake, and many many more. Jackie’s hair was insanely cool, she looked like a viking princess and it was awesome. We went to York Redoubt just outside Halifax for the portrait session, and then we went to an ARCADE and they played The Simpsons Pinball and Air Hockey. In wedding dresses. It was kinda epic, people.

You need to see their photos. Trust me! They are both so beautiful your eyes will melt. 🙂
