Let’s talk Experiences over things. Here’s what you DON’T have to spend your well-earned money on:

2. A huge wedding venue
3. A bunch of napkins, flowers, and decor no one will remember

But what you DO spend money on is FOR YOU. The Travel, The Accommodations, your activities, and a photographer to capture it all.

Photography & Planning

This will be your biggest expense if you want quality. There are a lot of options out there. Everything from a JP at a courthouse, to quick and dirty elopement chapels, to wilderness elopements, to full on adventure excursions for the day you say I do.

1. A Justice of the Peace for hire is $200 CAD across Nova Scotia (not including travel).

2. Elopement Chapels for 1 hour, a ceremony, with champagne/toast included average 2-3K CAD.

3. Resorts with Elopement Packages (including venue, JP, and a small photo package) will run you 3-4K CAD.

4. Personalised Experience Design i.e not something cookie cutter. You hire an all-inclusive planner/photographer so that there is 0 stress on your part. Prices can start at 4K CAD. They can go up to 16K+ CAD, depending on hours of coverage and your vision for the day (or multiple days).

• There are various flower options throughout the province, ranging from $25 CAD – $300+ CAD for a bouquet, depending on your desires. You can roll in and buy a simple bouquet the day before. You can also pick your own, or design your own at a place like Foraged Florals Flower Farm!
• Another option is to order dried flowers (roughly $20) and just bring them with you! Etsy is a great place for this and they have STUNNING colours!
