Urban Portrait Session Time!
It’s not very often in the Summer that Kev and I get to photograph something other than weddings! We were really excited when Archana approached us a few months ago wanting to book a portrait session. We were doubly excited when she told us she wanted to wear her beautiful handmade clothes from India! And thennnn triply excited because she’s legit a badass warrior woman and I kinda adore her. Yup!
We found the most perfectly colourful and unique place by pure accident while shooting a wedding in downtown Halifax a few months ago, and leaped at the opportunity to photograph at the Mercantile Social again. There is a room called the Peacock room, and you’ll see why below. The staff there were so accommodating and lovely, we couldn’t have been happier. Not to mention the food FYI. If you haven’t been, you need to go. If you have been, you need to go again!
Archana wanted something dramatic, really colourful, and another look with a dark background and dark outfit. Both missions successfully accomplished! We are photographing her again in the Autumn, so stay tuned for more Archana Magic!
