Saraguay House Wedding | Bria and Ty’s epic, goofy, and beautifully ridiculous day

August 16, 2022

We don’t always shoot larger weddings these days, but when we do, we do it in style!

Bria and Ty were yet another victim of the covid wedding postponements, but boy oh boy was it worth the wait. We booked them in 2020, and finally 2 years later they celebrated in epic proportions (so epic in fact, that the grooms pants split at the seams!).

It’s no word of a lie that Kev and I had been looking forward to this wedding – after their ridiculously goofy, sweet and silly engagement session we knew it was going to be baller.

A modern day love story, Bria and Ty met on tinder 7 years ago and never looked back. She was so pretty and cool and fun and he had a bubble butt that just wouldn’t quit. How could they possibly resist one another?!

Fast forward to their wedding day and they were just so wonderful to witness. Such kind, welcoming, funny, magical, loving humans and we couldn’t have adored them more. One thing about bigger weddings that we don’t get with our elopements is we get to see how the couple is viewed by their loved ones – snippets of their past, their relationship from the perspective of others. It was so clear how loved they are and it just warmed our little hearts!

The Saraguay House (Yacht Squadron by another name!) is a venue that’s been eluding us for some years and we finally were able to photograph it with Bria and Ty. Set along the ocean, surrounded by greenery, giant windows, and boats on boats on boats! So many opportunities for magical shots, but lemme just say we busted out the drone and let’r fly! It did not disappoint.

And as a happy little surprise, the 4 of us got to ride a boat into the sunset at the end of the night and we couldn’t have pictured things ending better. The sky was like cotton candy fire, we were all a sweaty mess from the hot July day, and the couple was fucking radiant. And we have the evidence to prove it.
