It’s not every day you get to photograph someone that you know. Most of the time Kev and I photograph total strangers who along the way become friends (which is hella lovely!) but this time, I already knew Erica. We met a year and a half or so ago in Pole Fitness classes, and when she contacted me to see if we could do an engagement session for her and her boo, I was like, YAH GIRL! And so we made a date. 🙂
It was my first time meeting Tanner so we got to have lots of blabs about how they met, awkward ice-cream dates at MacDonald’s at 3am, shy kisses and all the wonderful and hilarious things that come with first dates. <3
They were so freakin’ cute, and smiley, and cozy. And they legit bossed the Halifax December weather. It ain’t easy when it’s nearly freezing outside, lemme tell ya! That’s the great thing about the city, though. Even when all the trees are dead, there’s still a lot of life, colour, and warmth.
We started things off at The Wired Monk Cafe downtown, and it was real sweet. Fully equipped with comfy chairs and Holiday lattes, Erica and Tanner had a hot minute to heat up before we braved the flurried streets of the waterfront. 🙂
