Thinking of having a Chimney Corner Beach elopement? That’s what’s Sam and Brian did last Fall and it was GORGEOUS. Cape Breton is one of my favorite places on this planet. It’s home to some of the most stunning natural landscapes in the world, and I’m so grateful I get to photograph there on a regular basis.
Sam and Brian rented a cottage alongside the ocean cliffs, just minutes away from Chimney Corner Beach. We started their day off with leisurely coffee, chats, and just documentary style hangs around their adorable spot. This lovely couple made us feel so welcome, and it was so cool getting to know them in such a relaxed atmosphere.
Sam and Brian opened their own medical practice pretty much exactly when they were planning to elope (lolllllll, talk about busy amirite!). Of course, they wanted to incorporate some relaxing into their newly hectic schedules. The scenic views of Cape Breton are the perfect setting for working remotely and for taking beautiful nature breaks in between all the chaos.
They decided to have a day perfectly suited to their new life – casual, full of love, a little work, and just all around magical. After our hangs at their cottage, we all piled in Brian’s truck and headed to Chimney Corner for a hike and celebratory picnic. The weather played nice and it was a perfect day – blue skies, fluffy clouds, and a light breeze!
After gallivanting around, we came back to their airbnb to have dessert and watch the sunset over the water. It was utterly perfect.
