The simple answer to the Question Can Non-Residents get Married in Canada? YES! Any person can (same-sex marriage included). And it’s actually not even that complicated for non-residents/non-citizens. Let me walk you through the steps.

You have to get this from the Province where you are intending to get married. Each province has slightly different rules, but generally you have to do this in person, no more than 3 months from your date.
Costs for a Justice of the Peace range from $100-$400 CAD. There are several hundred for each province and are generally very easy to find.
Most Provinces require you to have 2 witnesses for the ceremony over the age of 16 years. They do not need to know you at all, and it can even be your photographers!
You will receive your official marriage certificate a few weeks after your date. Your justice of the peace will order this for you and have it sent to your home address.
AND THAT’S ALL. IT’S THAT EASY FOR NON-RESIDENTS TO GET MARRIED IN CANADA!
