Did somebody say cake?

Cake is pretty much my favorite thing ever. It’s one of the reasons why I like being a wedding photographer, haha… I get to eat cake every weekend! 🙂 Here are our favorite and most fantastical wedding cake, cupcake, and dessert bakers in Nova Scotia:

1. Sugar Nursery Cake Shop

Located in Halifax, Sugar Nursery does some pretty sensational cakes and sweet tables, with local delivery to boot! They can pretty much custom-make anything your heart desires, with no skimping on quality. The cakes are very beautiful, and so delicious. Whether you want something more traditional, or something creative and off-the-wall, it’s worth every penny. From cookies and cakes to tiered style!

2. Layers

This beautiful shop is located in downtown Halifax, and every time I walk by it I just want to buy more cupcakes. And trust me, I get to eat my fair share as a wedding photographer! These cakes are elegant, stylish, and make a beautiful centrepiece for your reception. And they are super yum, I just wanna eat them like pac-man. If this is your wedding cake place of choice, you will not be disappointed!

3. Skye’s The Limit Custom Cakes

Okay. So. This place legit has ice-cream flavours as cakes and it makes me so happy. Neopolitan, banana split, peanut butter cup, you name it! MOONMIST! And all the cakes are fully customizable, so you can get creative or have these awesome flavours traditional and tiered style. They also do dessert tables, and have gluten free and dairy free options. I wish I could eat their cakes all the time!

4. 24 Carrots Bakery

These wonderfully creative humans are located in Halifax and make the MOST amazing carrot cake I have everrrrr had. And I don’t say that lightly. Annnnd they don’t just do cake! Custom decorated beautiful cookies are also on the table here, and boy oh boy are they delectable (and oh-so-pretty!).

5. Certainly Cinnamon

Tons and tons of options with Certainly Cinnamon! Not just traditional wedding cakes, but they do unique dessert tables and tons of goodies. Including afternoon tea! Legit the place the Fellow booked for his very own wedding, so you know it’s gonna be good!

And to happily end things off, here are two people very serious about cake eating.
