One of my favorite elopements to date.
Picture this: it’s a beautiful, warm, late September day. I don’t have to do the drive to Lunenburg because Alex is doing it, Kev isn’t there to make jokes at my expense, and we have time to get burritos in Bridgewater before shooting starts. Does it really get any better?
Yes, yes it does. Hayley and Tyson were freakin’ awesome. They had a gorgeous ceremony (where yours truly got to officiate!) with just their parents, and then they had a full day of frolicking. The ceremony itself was at their lovely forested airbnb in La Have. They chose to say their vows next to a babbling brook surrounded by nature, and it was just perfect. Hayley was an absolute princess in her wedding dress (tiara to boot!) and chose to do a second first look for her adventuring dress – which was the most amazing floofy rainbow dress ever. 11/10!
We did some portraits with their pup at the airbnb after the ceremony, and headed on over to Lunenburg to grab picnic thangs, explore the town, hit up the swings, and just have a whale of a time. We walked the waterfront, saw the sights, and took in all the small town charm and colour. To finish things off, we drove to Blue Rocks for those gorgeous ocean views. You can’t elope in Nova Scotia without taking in some of them vast, rocky landscapes!
Hayley and Tyson huddled up on a blanket for a picnic on the rocks while Alex and I worked our magic. I flew the drone overheard to really capture the picturesqueness of it all, and get some cool aerial photos. We finished things off with some adorable portraits in the tall grasses as the sun set. It couldn’t have been better.
We are SO grateful for this couple and this day, and we are so stoked to share it with ya’ll!
