Such an unbelievably awesome couple, Shelby and Jay are so kind and thoughtful, and so go-with-the-flow. SO many weather obstacles threatened their day but man oh man did they ever just rock it!
Sometimes Nova Scotia can have unpredictable weather, and when you’re planning an elopement that’s entirely outdoors and in Cape Breton, ya gotta be able to roll with the punches – and roll we did!
We initially pivoted from a boat trip to Polletts Cove due to some wind and rain warnings, but the day turned out incredibly magical despite the last minute changes. HELLO AMAZING SUNSET ANYONE?
We started out at the Keltic Lodge for all the getting ready and insane detail captures, with two pups in tow all handsome as can be matching their papa in their little suits (hell yes it was AWWWWW SO CUTE).
After the official ceremony at the lodge with the JOP, we headed to White Point, a lesser known beautiful hike with an insane view for sunset in the Highlands. We got the most amazing sky, and ya girl here performed a spiritual handfasting ceremony for Shelby and Jay in the golden light.
Afterwards as the sun went down we celebrated with champagne, sparklers and a hike back in the dark (followed by all of us eating cupcakes in the dark next to the cars like the gremlins we are! Lol).
We could not have asked for a better day with just the loveliest humans.
LOOK AT ‘EM
P.S. they learned woodburning and gifted each of us a charcuterie board with their symbol – an anchor! We are so incredibly grateful. <3
