Below are a few unique Nova Scotia elopement ideas. From the edge of a cliff to a hot air balloon, we’d love to make your dream adventure elopement happen! (And take some pretty epic photos too!) Reach out to us here and let’s chat about your ideas.
We’ll organize a private boat tour for you to the island with pick up and drop off. You can then spend some time exploring the history of the old forts while surrounded by nature and the ocean. Bring a picnic and have your ceremony overlooking the harbour and lighthouse in the distance.
We’ll work with Vision Air Services to organize an incredible 20-25 minute helicopter journey over Halifax and the surrounding area. The pilot is very knowledgeable and takes you over shipwrecks and a citadel hill and gives you dope history tidbits along the way. This elopement idea includes wine and picnic basket included. Perfect for a private experience together, with freedom to explore the beautiful Sambro Island by yourselves and have epic photos like no one else!
Are you a hiking couple, but don’t wanna do a huge hike for your elopement day, but still want them epic views? We know a place! High Head is legit the best spot in the HRM and a hidden gem. High Head Trail has forest, ocean, rugged cliffs and a beautiful vista. Within 10 minutes, you get the most insane look off, and there’s hardly any other people on the trail EVER. It’s never crowded. You can do acro yoga, have a picnic, and dance in the sunset glow.
Tying the knot in a hot air balloon is possibly the coolest Nova Scotia elopement idea! Take off at sunrise or sunset for a really unique elopement experience with beautiful views of the Nova Scotia Valley. Your hot air balloon ride can be private or with a handful of other people and you can have your ceremony during the flight. We’ll work with East Coast Balloon Adventures to plan the hot air balloon elopement of your dreams.
We’ll take you to a very special and little-known spot off the Gaff Point Trail with the entrance on Hirtles Beach. A little south shore adventure! It’s about a 30-40 minute easy hike down Hirtles Beach and through forest to the Secret Beach. We’ll rappel down to the spot with a rope about 20 ft, and voila! Privacy for a beautiful elopement ceremony or for some incredible portraits. You could also choose to have an intimate ceremony on the main Hirtles Beach with your closest humans after your secret adventure together.
