I don’t know about you, but I love a good fairy tale forest setting for a wedding day. Gorgeous moss, hanging trees, an aisle made of scattered branches! Don’t mind if I freakin’ do.
Izzy and Kelsey found the cutest Airbnb tucked away on the South Shore of Nova Scotia in Petite Riviére. With a (you guessed it!) little river running alongside the property. It was quaint, it was private, and absolutely stunning.
The property itself had little paths running through the forest and along the river, you could hear the sound of the water during the ceremony and it made for the most dreamy background noise. Talk about a romantic atmosphere.
This was one of those weddings where it was just us and the couple, and we are always so grateful when a couple decides to do this. We get the most intimate of experiences, and it always leads to beautiful moments and photos.
Izzy and Kelsey decided to do a first look in their dresses, followed by their woodsy ceremony, a first dance in the soft rain, and celebratory champagne (and wood chopping’!) back at their airbnb.
Once we all got dried off, we headed out for some portraits around the area and they even took advantage of the hot tub – It was legit one of those wood-fired ones that you are supposed to light a couple hours ahead of time so full disclosure the water was cold BUT dang was it worth it for the photos. <3
