Point Pleasant Park and a Backyard Ceremony
One of our favorite things about this year is the kind of weddings that have come out of Covid. They are so much more intimate, family-oriented, and just full of the people that matter the most. They have been a lot less regimented, and way more go-with-the-flow.
Rachael and Trevor’s big day was just that, and we loved it. Of course it’s Nova Scotia, so inevitably we got a little rain, but that’s okay! We were prepared with raincoats and umbrellas and a little baggies to protect the cameras. I never mind shooting in the rain, and love a little moodiness now and then! Rachael and Trevor were total troopers, and even though we all got a little (k, a looottt) wet, we plowed through and got some pretty cute pics before things turned torrential. Fall was out in full force, and there was just a ton of colour we couldn’t help but take advantage of. The nature in Halifax really does put on a show. <3
We totally lucked out for the ceremony as well, and it cleared up real nice. We all huddled out in the beautiful backyard without a drop of rain, and we even got a wee bit of sun break through! Not to mention the stellar sky we got at the end of the day, when the rain had cleared and sky was basically on fire. What a view, even just from the street. We popped outside for maybe 10 mins to capture the last of the light, and then we went on to the cookies! (My fav! Nom nom nom!)
Have a look 🙂
